Subscription Plans
Subscription Plans defines reusable Product, Price and Duration terms selected when creating a Circulation Subscription.
What Subscription Plans is for
Subscription Plans maintains reusable Product, Price and Duration terms selected by Circulation Subscriptions.
A Plan is a template; individual Subscriptions keep their own transaction values after selection.
Find and open a Plan
Open Circulation -> Subscription Plans.
Search, sort and page by Plan Name, Product, Period Unit, Price, Duration and Description, then click a row.
Create a Plan
Choose Create and maintain Plan Name, Product, optional Period Unit, Plan Price, Duration (days) and optional Description.
Choose Save and confirm after validation.
Product
Product is required and identifies the Product covered by the Plan.
The Product lookup supports Open to inspect the selected master and Create to add a Product inline.
After Product Quick Create succeeds, the new Product returns to the Plan and is selected.
Period Unit
Period Unit is optional.
Selecting a Period Unit copies its Unit Value into Duration (days).
The lookup supports Open and inline Create. Period Unit Quick Create maintains Unit Name, positive Unit Value in days and Description.
Duration remains editable because the Plan stores its own Duration value.
Plan Price
Plan Price is required and can be zero or a positive currency amount.
When a Subscription selects the Plan, the current Subscription screen copies Plan Price into its pricing calculation.
Duration (days)
Duration is required and must be a positive whole number.
The current Subscription screen calculates End Date as Start Date + Duration - 1 day.
Changing Plan Duration later does not automatically move existing Subscription End Dates.
Save, Close and Actions
Save validates the Plan and opens a confirmation dialog. Cancel closes confirmation without saving; Confirm creates or updates the Plan.
Close returns to the Plan list without running Save.
The current Subscription Plan Details screen has no three-dot Actions menu.
Delete a Plan
From the list, select one or more Plans and choose Delete.
Cancel closes Confirm Delete without changing data.
Confirm checks each Plan. A Plan already referenced by a Subscription is protected from Delete.
Unused Plans can be removed, including as part of a mixed bulk selection.
What a Plan edit changes
Plan edits change the reusable setup used for future selection.
Existing Subscriptions store their own Plan ID, price and date values; Plan maintenance does not automatically rewrite those historical transaction values.

Do I have to choose a Period Unit?
No. Period Unit is optional; Duration can be entered directly.
Can I change Duration after selecting a Period Unit?
Yes. Period Unit copies a starting day value, while the Plan stores its own Duration.
Why can Plan Price be zero?
A zero-price Plan can support a legitimate free or promotional subscription setup.
Why can’t I delete a Plan?
One or more Subscriptions already reference it.
Will changing Plan Price or Duration change old Subscriptions?
No automatic retroactive recalculation is performed.
Where is the three-dot Actions menu?
The current Subscription Plan Details screen does not have one.
