Product Types
Product Types are reusable classifications selected on Circulation Products.
What Product Types is for
Product Types classifies Circulation Products.
Products store the selected Product Type and resolve its business name in Product maintenance and queries.
Find and open
Open Circulation and choose Product Types.
Search or sort by Name or Description, use paging when needed, then click the row.
Create
Choose Create, enter Product Type Name and an optional Description, then Save and confirm.
Edit
Open a Product Type from the list, update Name or Description, and Save.
Delete safely
Unused Product Types can be deleted.
Product Type Code
The current user-facing Product Type screen does not maintain Product Type Code.

Is Description required?
No. Product Type Name is required.
Can I delete a Product Type already used by Products?
No. The protected Delete flow blocks removal while Product references exist.
