Period Units
Period Units are named duration templates measured in days and used by Subscription Plans.
What Period Units is for
Period Units maintains reusable named duration templates measured in days.
A Subscription Plan can reference a Period Unit and copy its Unit Value into the plan Duration (days).
Create a Period Unit
Choose Create and enter a unique Unit Name, a positive whole-number Unit Value in days, and an optional Description.
Subscription Plan behavior
The current Subscription Plan stores both the selected Period Unit reference and its own Duration (days).
Changing a Period Unit later does not automatically rewrite existing plan durations.
Delete safely
Unused Period Units can be deleted.
A Period Unit referenced by a Subscription Plan is protected from Delete.

Period Units describe durations in days.

Can a Period Unit have zero days?
No. The reviewed maintenance flow requires a positive whole-number day value.
Does changing a Period Unit update all existing Subscription Plans?
No. Subscription Plans store their own Duration (days) separately.
Why can’t I delete a Period Unit?
One or more Subscription Plans reference it.
Is Period Unit the same as Accounting Period?
No. Period Units are duration templates; Accounting Periods control posting periods.
