Activity Calendar
Activity Calendar turns scheduled CRM Activities into a practical Month, Week or Day planning view while keeping the underlying Activity as the auditable source record.
What Activity Calendar is for
Use Activity Calendar to see scheduled CRM work over time without losing the underlying Activity record. It is intended for planning and navigation, not as a second place to store Activity business data.
The reviewed calendar supports Month, Week and Day views, Previous/Today/Next navigation and click-through from a calendar event to the Activity screen.
Quick reference
Calendar controls
| Control | Reviewed behavior |
|---|---|
| Month | Shows the month grid including surrounding week days needed to complete calendar rows. |
| Week | Shows the selected week and its scheduled Activities. |
| Day | Shows Activities for one day organized by hour. |
| Previous | Moves backward by one month/week/day depending on the selected view. |
| Today | Returns the anchor date to today. |
| Next | Moves forward by one month/week/day depending on the selected view. |
| Open Activity | Click an Activity/event to navigate to its Activity record. |
| Remember view | The selected Month/Week/Day view is stored locally in the browser using the calendar storage key. |
How Activities appear
The calendar loads Activities whose Start Date/Time falls in the visible range. Events are ordered by Start Date/Time.
The visual treatment recognizes common Activity type families such as Call, Email, Meeting and Task, with a default treatment for other configured Activity types. Completed-looking status cues are derived from completion data/status context.
Entity and owner context
The shared calendar component can be used in a general owner-focused context or with a specific entity context when embedded by another CRM screen. The underlying server query continues to apply CRM access/ownership rules.
The standalone CRM Activity Calendar therefore represents the current user’s schedulable work context rather than an unrestricted all-company calendar.

Troubleshooting
Calendar issues
| Symptom | What to check |
|---|---|
| Expected Activity is missing | Confirm it has Start Date/Time, is inside the visible date range and belongs to your available CRM scope. |
| Activity appears on the wrong day/time | Review the Activity date/time and user timezone context before changing the record. |
| Need to edit Activity details | Open the Activity from the Calendar; Calendar itself is the planning/navigation view. |
| View keeps reopening as Week/Day/Month | The calendar remembers the last selected view in browser local storage. |

Frequently asked questions
Can I edit all Activity fields directly in the Calendar?
No. Open the Activity record for controlled editing.
Does Calendar show unscheduled Activities?
Calendar placement is driven by Start Date/Time, so unscheduled Activities do not have a calendar position.
Does my selected view persist?
Yes. The calendar stores the selected Month/Week/Day view in browser local storage for its storage key.
